Teriyaki Wings

Makes 8 full wings (drummettes and wings, or shoulder to wing tip) for a total of 16 pieces

  • 1/2 cup soy
  • a tablespoon or less of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • a squirt of honey
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger (maybe double or triple the ginger... ginger tends to blend in as it’s cooked so the flavor dies down)
  • cornstarch (as a thickener, if you are so inclined)

Add some vegetables, such as

  • chopped carrots
  • chopped zucchini

Make the above sauce, veggies and chicken (make sure the chicken is off the bone and chopped into bite-size pieces) and add it to your

  • rice (leftover is fine too)

Top with

  • chopped cashews

Stuff into large, fresh, crispy

  • green lettuce leaves
